Common questions.
Do I have to replace my bathtub?
No. A tub enclosure is glass over the tub you already have. We measure your existing tub and build the panels to fit it, so the tub, the tile, and the plumbing all stay where they are. If the tub itself is sound and you are simply tired of the curtain, this is the entire project, and it is a far smaller job than a bathroom remodel.
Sliding panels or a hinged screen, which is better?
It depends on your room and your household. Bypass panels slide, so they need no clearance and they enclose the whole tub, which is the safer bet in a tight bathroom. A hinged screen leaves half the tub open, which is easier if you bathe kids or want to clean the tub without reaching around a track. We will weigh both with you at the measure.
Will hard water ruin glass over my tub?
Metro Detroit water is hard, and left alone it will leave mineral spotting on any glass in Macomb County. It is very manageable, though. Keep a squeegee in the bath and give the panels a quick pass after showers, and ask us about easy-clean glass when we come to measure. Choosing the right glass up front saves you a great deal of scrubbing later on.

Can glass go on an old, out-of-square tub alcove?
Usually yes, and that is exactly what the measure is for. Older Sterling Heights homes have settled, so tub alcoves are often a little out of square. A framed enclosure has the most room to absorb that. If your opening is unusual, we will tell you what will and will not work before anything is cut, and we build to your real numbers either way.
