Is framed a step down from frameless?
No, it is a different tool. Frameless buys you the open look, with heavy glass and minimal metal. Framed buys you tolerance and value, with the metal doing the structural work. In an older bathroom that has moved, the frame is often the better engineering answer and not the consolation prize. We build both, and we will tell you which one suits the opening you have.
My shower opening is not square. Will the door still close?
That is exactly what a frame is for. We set the frame to your wall as we find it, then hang the door inside the frame, so the door can be brought to plumb while the frame takes up the difference. Does a framed door need more cleaning?
