Hardware is anchored into backing that will hold, the door is hung so it swings true and stops where you leave it, and silicone goes only where water has to be stopped. The rest stays open so the enclosure can drain and dry instead of trapping moisture behind a bead.
Walls Are Never Plumb, And That Is Fine
Out of plumb walls are not a defect anyone needs to apologize for. That is just what buildings do. The real question is whether the enclosure was built to account for them. A kit off a shelf cannot. It comes in one size with a rigid frame, so a gap has to open up somewhere, and it usually opens right where the water runs. Custom glass handles it differently. The panel can be ordered with a slight taper. Hardware placement can shift. The configuration itself can be chosen to be forgiving in the direction your wall is leaning. All of that is decided at the measure, in your bathroom, with a level sitting on the tile. Done right it is invisible when the job is finished, which is exactly the point.
