Glass Shower Door Installation in Birmingham, MI
The same family measures, fabricates, and installs your glass. No subcontractors and no handoffs. If you are building or remodeling in Birmingham and need someone to put the glass in, that is what we do.
Who Installs Shower Doors in Birmingham
If you are at the point in a build or a remodel where the tile is going in and somebody asks who is doing the glass, the answer can be us. Fortune is a shower door showroom, not a general contractor with a glass line on the side. It is the only thing we make. We come to your Birmingham home, take the measurements ourselves, fabricate the enclosure at our shop in Sterling Heights, and then the same crew comes back and installs it. There is no middleman between the person who measured your opening and the person who hangs the door in it.
That matters more than it sounds like it should. A shower enclosure is a custom part, cut to numbers that only exist in your bathroom. If those numbers are wrong, or if the installer has to guess at what the person measuring meant, you end up with gaps, uneven reveals, and a door that never quite sits right. Homeowners in Birmingham notice that kind of thing, because the standard for fit and finish here is high and the rest of the house usually holds it. We keep the whole chain in one family, so there is nothing to translate and one crew owns the result.
Glass Shower Door Installation, measured and built for Birmingham.
Free In-Home Measure
It starts at your house, not over the phone. We look at the opening, the tile, the pan, the curb, and the room around it, then take the real numbers. You get a quote and honest answers about what will and will not work. No charge, no obligation, no pressure to decide on the spot.
Built In Our Shop
Your glass is cut and assembled at our Sterling Heights showroom to the measurements we took. Frameless work is 3/8 inch tempered safety glass as standard. Nothing gets pulled off a shelf and trimmed to be close enough, because a custom opening does not accept a stock answer.
Installed By Our Crew
The people who install your door work for Fortune. No subcontracted glass, no rotating crews, nobody showing up who has never seen your bathroom. They set it, seal it, show you how it operates, and clean up the space before they leave. Same family, start to finish.

What Installation Day Looks Like
Before we come to install, your tile, pan, and curb need to be finished and set, because we measure to final surfaces. We do not do tile, plumbing, or demolition, so if you are mid-remodel, we are the step that comes after the other trades are done. That is worth knowing while you are sequencing the project. Once the surfaces are final, we take our measurements, and from there the timeline is ours to manage. You will know what to expect and when.
On install day the crew arrives with your glass, protects the floors, and sets the enclosure to the layout you approved. Hinges, clips, handles, and headers go on in the finish you picked. They seal the joints, wipe the glass down, and walk you through how it opens and how long to wait before you use it. Then they take the packaging with them. If anything is not sitting the way you expected, tell us while we are standing there. We would rather hear it in person.

Common questions.
Who installs shower doors in Birmingham?
We do. Fortune is a family-owned shower door showroom in Sterling Heights, and Birmingham is inside our Oakland County service area. The same family measures the opening, fabricates the glass, and installs it. No subcontracted glass and no handoffs along the way. Call (586) 315-8900 or text (586) 800-9481 and we will get you on the calendar for a free measure.
Do I need to buy the glass somewhere else first?
No. Bringing us a boxed door from a home center is usually a step backward, because those are stock sizes and your opening is not one. We fabricate the enclosure to your measurements instead. That is the whole point of a custom door, and it is why the reveals come out even and the door closes the way it should.
When in a remodel should I call you?
Call as soon as you know the layout, so we can talk through what the opening will support. The actual measure happens after the tile, pan, and curb are finished, because we measure to final surfaces. We do not do tile or plumbing, so we are the step that follows your other trades rather than one that runs alongside them.
Should I ask about easy-clean glass?
Yes, ask. Metro Detroit water is hard, and in Oakland County that means minerals dry on the glass and leave a film that gets harder to remove over time. An easy-clean coating and a squeegee habit are what keep a new enclosure looking new. Bring it up at the measure and we will explain the options.
Can I see the glass and hardware before I commit?
Please do. The showroom is at 42624 Van Dyke Ave in Sterling Heights, open Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 2. Hold the hardware, look at the finishes, and see the glass in person. If a trip out is not convenient, we can bring samples to your Birmingham home when we come to measure.
